About Us

Gregory G. Schon, RA, LEED AP

Greg’s design and management experience, coupled with his early experience in the field building custom houses, gives him tremendous insight into the constructability of a project.  He is sensitive to aesthetic, functional and environmental issues without sacrificing the owner’s budget.  Prior to beginning his own practice, his diverse career included a focus on large complex commercial and governmental projects which has made him keenly aware of the importance of keeping to the budget and resolving complicated issues.  Since founding Schon Architects his practice still maintains a diverse array of project types but each is centered around a Client First philosophy.

His clients value Greg for his artistic vision and his ability to translate their needs into a successful project.

Greg has been a registered architect in Texas since 1987.  He has won two AIA awards for outstanding service to the profession as well as an award for innovative design for sustainable architecture for his Lehnis Train Museum  in Brownwood, Texas.  Several of his projects have been published in Texas Architect magazine and the AIA’s Justice Facilities Review.
